Cattle Egret

Ingrebourne Valley: Cattle Egret on Albion Pool at 09:35 then flew off perhaps 250m east at 10:30 with 4 Little Egrets, no longer visible but still in area,but no further sign by 12:15pm. Still no sign by 14:25

Crossness: WHISKERED TERN moulting Adult feeding around Outfall.This bird was seen briefly at 9 am yesterday,but it was not seen after that time.The sad thing about it me and david where on site at crayford at 8.45am.(A CLASSIC SEEK & DESTROY).

- Crayford Marshes: 4 Avocets, female Marsh Harrier mobbed by Peregrine, and Whimbrel on Rainham side also up to 8 Sandwich Terns back and forth along the Thames, 2 Greenshanks, 3 Common Sandpipers, 4 Dunlin, 6+ Redshanks, c.3 Oystercatchers, Hobby, juv Med Gull, 4 Yellow-legged Gulls, 2 Common Terns (adult +juv), 5 Little Egrets, Meadow Pipit, Reed Bunting, juv Chiffchaff, Common Gull (Kevin McManus and David Campbell). I must say i had a fantastic day at crayford today.It would have been better if david did not messed up filming some of these birds.(END RESULT NO VIDEO).

Rainham RSPB: early a.m, Aveley Bay -Bar Tailed Godwit, 9 Redshank, 2 Black Tailed Godwits, 2 Whimbrel, 2 Oystercatchers, 4 Sandwich Terns up river @ 6.08am, 3 Common Terns and Shelduck brood of 11.Also 11 Black Tailed Godwits, 11 Little Ringed Plovers, Ruff, 2 Greenshank and 3 Snipe on Aveley Pools.

LONDONS TOP SITE-
- Almost certain GOLDEN ORIOLE heard in Tawny Wood (just north of Ruffett Wood and south east of junction of Colcokes Road and Monks Road) 10.00am. Observer is confident that what he heard was a Golden Oriole but is not claiming 100% because he didn't see the bird (hence not completely eliminating the possibilty of another bird mimicking in observer's opinion) but it seems very likely that the bird was indeed a Golden Oriole.
